Kaitlyn's Castle Birthday

Kaitlyn turns 5 today. We had a party yesterday afternoon. She wanted not a princess birthday, but a "castle" birthday. I made this at Kaitlyn's request. It took me 4 hours. Only for my children will I put that much work into a cake. So, for a Castle Party, we had to have swords for the young Knights who would attend. I got up at 4:30 am yesterday to cut them out. (I cut these before I made the cake) Then, we had to have pretty Tutu's for the Princesses that would be coming. I made these yesterday after making the cake. These are super simple "no sew" tutus. Just look up "no sew tutus" And you can find instructions. A few days ago I went to to a wholesale box store here in columbus and got the largest box they had for $10 then I cut it into a castle. The box was HUGE- 69" x 22"x 36". Super easy and super fun.The spread. Complete with home-made Pizza braids (made after the Tutu's were finished), chips, veggies and dip, watermelon and pink lemonade. Here's Kaitlyn getting her very own Wii game. She has never been able to play on the wii with everyone else. So now she can. All in all it was a great party. We had alot of fun. And now I'm going to be recovering for a few days.... zzzzzzz......

Oh my goodness, you are amazing. I need that type of energy so I can just complete this last year of college (now with a baby). Can you pass some energy this way? That party sounds like a dream.
