Halloween!!

There was a lot going on for Halloween this year. We went to a party with dozens of other school friends, (pictures to come soon), and we had a lot of fun in the classroom on Halloween as well. Here's some pics of what we did in school, and a few other things.

Here's Alan looking at brown sugar through a mircroscope.

Here's a sugar molecule as Sarah saw it through the microscope.

Kaitlyn finding the circumference of a pumpkin.

Some more activities. We figured out the volume of the pumpkin,  weighed it,  determined whether it would float or not, among other things...

Here I froze some peices of candy (in sealed wrappers) in water in a latex glove.
 We posed the question:

Making candy and learning about the chemical properties of sugar....

 Candy Alan and Sarah made...

 William loves school!!

A view of our Halloween adorned classroom...
Sarah and William doing a witches cooking show...
This is supposed to be a sugar molecule.... we didn't have enough balls of the same colors to make it look accurate, but it's close in structure...
And one final view of our Happy Halloween classroom...
